BW Sophomores Kick Off National Poetry Month
To celebrate National Poetry Month (and to take advantage of some glorious spring weather), Ms. Schloesser’s English 3-4 Honors students took to the sidewalks! The classes are currently working on their poetry explications, and they were each given a chance to choose a powerful passage to share with the rest of the Belleville West campus. They spread the power of poetry with sidewalk chalk, a subtle reminder that poetry shouldn’t be considered a stuffy, academic genre. It’s very much alive and accessible to anyone who will give it a chance!
