English Teachers Remind You to READ over the Winter Break
Inspired by the classic library posters, BW English teachers and librarians recently created their own READ posters. They remind students and families to spend some time with a good book during this winter break.
Don’t Feel like Cooking Tonight? Grab a Pizza Instead!
The Belleville West English Department will be the recipient of a First Book-Pizza Hut grant this spring. Grant money will be used to purchase new, high-interest books for Belleville West classes. The amount of the grant is based on the purchases at our local Pizza Hut restaurant, located in Shnucks Plaza at 5720 North Belt West, from now through December 31.
Any time that you’re hungry for pizza in the month of December, please choose Pizza Hut. You can dine in, carry out, or order delivery. You don’t need any coupon code or paper to take to the restaurant; a portion of all purchases will be contributed to the Belleville West grant.
Happy Holidays from the BW English Department
During this busy holiday season, give yourself the gift of time with a good book.

Are you cooking a big meal for family or friends this holiday season? Are you catching up on your favorite movies or TV shows while you munch on cookies and candy? When you shop at Shnucks for food or snacks, don’t forget to scan your eScrip card or rewards card for the Belleville West HS Reading Challenge! (Don’t have a card? Just pick one up at the courtesy desk.)
Maybe you still need to finish a little online shopping. Did you know that you can use your eScrip card at hundreds of online retailers? Visit escrip.com to sign up, choose “Belleville West HS Reading Challenge” as your group, and easily earn money for our school’s reading program.
