BW Little Theatre Presents Annual Children’s Show
Belleville West Little Theatre presents the 2019 children’s play, Mary Poppins Jr., next Thursday and Friday, January 31 and February 1. Bring the entire family to enjoy this beloved classic, adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture.
Bert, the jack-of-all-trades, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”
The score of Mary Poppins Jr. features such favorite songs as “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Feed the Birds,” “Jolly Holiday,” “Step in Time,” “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” and—of course—”Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
Performances begin at 7:00 each evening in the BW Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $4 for children, $5 for students, and $7 for adults. Advance tickets are available online at bwlittletheater.brownpapertickets.com.
