Once again this year, the BW English Department challenged the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes to each read ONE MILLION PAGES of pleasure reading during the school year. At two-thirds of the way through the year, how are our four classes doing?
At the end of the first semester, the FRESHMAN CLASS has already PASSED THEIR GOAL, with 1,100,094 pages of pleasure reading! At this rate, the freshman class can read more than 1.5 million pages by the end of this school year! The freshmen read 314,210 pages in the fourth triad, their best triad so far and an average of 564 pages per freshman. These freshman classes read the most pages per student in the fourth triad:

The JUNIOR CLASS remains in third place, with 664,630 pages of pleasure reading—which means that they’ve slipped under pace to reach the goal this year. The sophomores read 169,262 pages in the fourth triad, an average of 363 pages per sophomore. (This is the best triad so far for the sophomores!
