BW Students Pass 3.5 Million Pages of Pleasure Reading
The BW English Department has challenged the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes to each read ONE MILLION PAGES of pleasure reading during this school year. At the end of the fifth triad, how is each class doing in this year’s competition?
At the end of the fifth triad, the FRESHMAN CLASS has 955,641 pages of pleasure reading. The freshmen are currently in first place, and they’re more than 95% of the way to the goal. The freshmen read 190,152 pages in the fifth triad, an average of 372 pages per freshman. These freshman classes read the most pages per student in the fifth triad:
Ms. Comley, fifth hour – 790 pages per student
Ms. Guebert, third hour – 695 pages per student
Ms. Thurnau, fifth hour – 652 pages per student
Ms. Kurtz, first hour – 624 pages per student
Ms. Mims, sixth hour – 618 pages per student
Ms. Comley, first hour – 524 pages per student
Ms. Thurnau, second hour – 522 pages student
At the end of the fifth triad, the SENIOR CLASS has 941,718 pages of pleasure reading. That puts the seniors more than 94% of the way to the goal. The seniors read 210,885 pages in the fifth triad, an average of 589 pages per senior and their best triad of the year! These senior classes read the most pages per student in the fifth triad:
Mrs. Lewis, sixth hour – 6423 pages per student
Mr. Lodle, sixth hour – 1398 pages per student
Mr. Lodle, fifth hour – 926 pages per student
Ms. Thurnau, first hour – 690 pages per student
Mr. Reidelberger, fourth hour – 586 pages per student
Mr. Reidelberger, third hour – 579 pages per student
Ms. Schaab, fifth hour – 521 pages per student
At the end of the fifth triad, the SOPHOMORE CLASS has 875,688 pages of pleasure reading. The sophomore class is almost 90% of the way to the goal. The sophomores read 209,937 pages in the fifth triad, an average of 471 pages per sophomore and their best triad of the year! These sophomore classes read the most pages per student in the fifth triad:
Mr. Johnson, fourth hour – 2022 pages per student
Dr. Ursani, sixth hour – 1201 pages per student
Ms. Schloesser, seventh hour – 863 pages per student
Ms. Schloesser, sixth hour – 785 pages per student
Mr. Reidelberger, sixth hour – 777 pages per student
Mr. Johnson, fifth hour – 552 pages per student
Ms. Chalmers, second hour – 453 pages per student
At the end of the fifth triad, the JUNIOR CLASS has 797,704 pages of pleasure reading. The junior class almost 80% of the way to the goal, but the juniors need to step up their pace if they want to reach one million pages for the year. The juniors read 175,734 pages in the fifth triad, an average of 427 pages per junior and their best triad of the year! These junior classes read the most pages per student in the fifth triad:
Ms. Guebert, first hour – 805 pages per student
Mr. Schobert, fifth hour – 735 pages per student
Mr. Schobert, second hour – 688 pages per student
Ms. Chalmers, fourth hour – 632 pages per student
Ms. Chalmers, seventh hour – 621 pages per student
Mr. Schobert, sixth hour – 572 pages per student
Ms. Chalmers, sixth hour – 511 pages per student
Ms. Guebert, sixth hour – 507 pages per student
